Freedom and peace are the fundamental enablers of travel
You might think its airlines, cruise ships, hotels and restaurants who enable the global travel industry but the reality is that at its core the great enablers of travel are freedom and peace. Violence and war palaralyze travelers in a state of fear. While supporting Ukraine is about so much more than travel, this is our industry and this is why we are banding together to stand up for our values and the basic human rights that fuel the global economy.

If as an international community and an industry we don’t stand up to defend freedom and show that unprovoked violence is unacceptable, then we are saying that it is okay. Here are just a few of the many ways this conflict will directly impact our industry:
- Global Unity. Travel helps us forge bonds with other cultures and unite as a human race — violence, oppression and tyranny threaten our industry’s very existence

Core Values. Europe champions the values that our industry wants to see in a modern global society: interconnectivity between nations, sustainability, human rights, diversity & inclusion. Further expansion and violence threatens to undermine our core values
- Love of Travel. Europe sits at the heart of the global travel/tourism industry. Unrest in the Ukraine could easily bleed into a broader EU and global conflict which would massively disrupt the global travel industry
- Innovation. Many of the leading technology firms globally that provide the tools and infrastructure which the travel industry run on have developers in Ukraine that are now having to fight or flee
That’s why we’re rallying the global hospitality industry to pool resources, amplify our reach and fight for what is right
Many companies want to do something but they don’t feel like they alone can make a significant impact. This campaign is designed to:
- Make it easy and turnkey for individuals and companies to make an impact
- Provide a way to contribute and make an outsized impact through donor amplification
- Rally our community as a global family to contribute and make sure we’ve done our part to stand up for what is right and put an end to this before it escalates further
How it Works
1. Companies Pledge Match Amount
Hospitality companies join the pledge by agreeing to match up to a certain dollar amount.
2. Community Shares the Link
Companies send the link to their customers, partners and friends to rally support and awareness for the campaign.
3. Individuals Make Donations
Individuals make donations a small as low as $10. Every dollar counts especially since they’ll be amplified by pledge partner matched.
4. Donations Get Amplified
Each donation is amplified by companies who have pledged to match up to a certain amount.

Who organized this initiative?
This initiative is organized by a collective group of companies in the global hotel technology industry who joined forces to come up with a campaign that our industry could rally around to make a difference and

Where is the money being donated?
We still need to decide which source will have the most impact.
How are donations processed?
Donations are processed through charity fundraising platform Rally.org.
- Individual Donations: As soon as you make your donation, Rally.org will send you corresponding documentation for tax deducations.
- Match Donations: Companies who pledge to match up to a certain amount will be notified at the end of the campaign period and will receive a link and instructions to process their donation which will also include corresponding documentation for tax deductions.
Are donations tax deductible?
Absolutely.
How does company donation matching work?
Since the campaign is one collective campaign, milestones are reached quicker together making it easier to raise more money and amplify donations.
The way matching works is that as soon as the campaign reaches the milestone your company has selected to donate at, you will be eligible for the full donation.
Example:
Let’s say your company pledges to match up to $10,000. Once the campaign reaches the $10,000 milestone, your company will then submit your matching donation.
